p r e - c o n s t r u c t i o n

Preparation for a project is as much work as the as the project itself. Ministry Consultants frees church leaders from the day-to-day planning activities and coordinates numerous tasks, including:

· Selection of architectural, engineering and other consulting services

· Preparation of preliminary budgets and schedules

· Interaction with city, county, and state regulatory officials

· Directing design services of numerous professionals

· Regular presentations to church leaders about planning and budgeting activities

· Guiding bidding, negotiation, and contracting tasks

· Recommending church approvals for scope, schedules and budgets

The duration of these services range from 9-12 months for small and medium size projects. Large projects can take from 18-24 months to develop.

c o n s t r u c t i o n

When construction begins, we shift into another gear—visiting the site several times each week, and in some cases, every day. We keep information moving between the contractor, architect, engineers, and church leaders. There are always some parts of the project that are completed outside of the contractor’s scope of work, such as, audio, video, theatrical lighting, and other technical systems. Ministry Consultants integrates these and other unique activities into the many other construction tasks. At the same time, we are planning and budgeting for furniture, fixtures, and equipment that will all show up in the last weeks before the new facility opens. Through it all, we provide cost accounting, document control, and a variety of other services—more work than most churches can ever imagine!

p o s t - c o n s t r u c t i o n

The work continues for several weeks after the building is occupied. We monitor correction of punchlist items, coordinate final payments to contractors, schedule training and orientation, and compile warranties and owner’s manuals. We even supervise delivery and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
